SHIPPING / REFUND / RETURNS / EXCHANGES / WARRANTY

1) ORDER CANCELLATION

Order cancellations need to be made within 24 hours of your order to prevent shipping of product.  Contact Berkey Water USA at phone 306 630 4780 , (if no answer leave message) or email @ mailto:berkeywaterusa@yahoo.com

 2) EXCHANGES & RETURNS

You MUST contact  us within 10 business days of receipt of product to receive EXCHANGE or RETURN authorization. THE PRODUCT MUST BE UNUSED. You can contact us @ email  mailto:berkeywaterusa@yahoo.com or phone number 306 630 4780. (if no answer leave message)  The customer is responsible for covering the cost of shipping for the returned item, as well as for the exchanged item.
There will be up to a $45 restock fee to cover freight costs and warehouse fee's.

After you have received  EXCHANGE / RETURN authorization, please observe the following, you must deliver the product affording an equal degree of protection, its original packaging, in saleable condition,  unused, undamaged and freight PREPAID to the address we provide you.

3) WARRANTY SERVICE

Before you make a warranty claim;

PLEASE NOTE: In many instances, products are perceived to be defective or not working properly due to improper installation, rather than actually being “defective”. Using the troubleshooting guide or “tips” section found at our Customer Support Center web page may help resolve the issue to enable you to continue using your Berkey® product and/or determine if the product is in fact qualified under the Warranty.

NMCL cannot guarantee authenticity of products purchased from Unauthorized Berkey® Dealers, and therefore does not honor Warranty Claims on products purchased from Unauthorized Berkey®  Dealers. It is the consumer’s responsibility to ensure they purchase through an Authorized Berkey® Dealer.

Unlike order cancellations and exchanges, WARRANTIES will be processed directly through New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. (“NMCL”is the manufacturer). To obtain warranty service, you must provide a dated receipt for the product. Please email NMCL’s customer engagement team at customerservice@berkeywater.com. .
If you contact New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. (“NMCL”) within 30 days of receipt of product to request  warranty service, a return label will be provided to you via email. NMCL must receive original product before any replacement product will be shipped to you.

Once your warranty claim has been processed and approved by our Returns Department, return instructions will be emailed to you at the email address we have on file.
If the request is made after the 30 day period has passed, you will be responsible for costs associated with returning the product to NMCL.
All returned product will be hand inspected by our Returns Department. If the Returns Department determines the product does not qualify for the requested Return Exchange, the Return Exchange can be denied. This decision is made at NMCL’s discretion.

Berkey Water USA/Canada warrants their products against defects in materials or workmanship during ordinary consumer use. This limited warranty does not cover product issues caused by any other reason, for the time periods and conditions set forth below when purchased directly from Berkey Water USA/Canada. For a period not to exceed twelve months from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser, Berkey Water USA/Canada will, solely at its discretion, replace a stainless steel system or component that it deems is not functioning properly during the stated warranty period.

Berkey Water USA/Canada. shall not be held liable for incidental or consequential damage to personal property from, but not limited to, a defective unit, improper use, abuse, accident, or neglect, etc. It is the customer’s responsibility to prevent misuse of the system and to replace parts, when, due to the natural course of wear and tear, they must be replaced.

This warranty will not apply to units which have been used for purposes not intended, which have been altered so as, in the manufacturers judgment, to adversely affect its performance. This warranty is for the original retail purchaser only, and cannot be transferred.

DAMAGED ORDERS

It is the responsibility of every customer to inspect their product for accuracy and any damage to the product immediately upon receipt. If your product is damaged (such as a scratched or dented chamber), you must contact us within 10 days to qualify for an opportunity to replace the item per the Limited Warranty.

DAMAGED BY CARRIER

If you determine the item to be damaged by the carrier service, please contact the carrier service immediately and complete a damage report. We can file a claim for you only at the carrier’s request.

INCOMPLETE ORDERS

For orders that are incorrect or missing an item(s), please contact us within 30 days to request a prepaid return label for replacement. Replacement items will be shipped only after we receive your items.

For requests made after the 30 day period has passed, you will be responsible for costs associated with returning the product to NMCL.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Warranty Terms:

New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. warrants their product against defects in materials or workmanship during ordinary consumer use. This Limited Warranty does not cover product issues caused by any other reason, for the time periods and conditions set forth below when purchased directly from an Authorized Berkey® Dealer.

New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. shall not be held liable for incidental or consequential damage to personal property from, but not limited to, a defective unit, improper use, abuse, accident, or neglect, etc. It is the customer’s responsibility to prevent misuse of the system and to replace parts, when, due to the natural course of wear and tear, they must be replaced. To obtain warranty service, you must provide a dated receipt for the product and may be responsible to pay for any shipping charges incurred to return the product to New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. when required.

This warranty will not apply to units which have been used for purposes not intended, which have been altered so as, in the manufacturer’s judgment, to adversely affect its performance. This warranty is for the original retail purchaser only, and cannot be transferred.

For a period not to exceed the specified warranty coverage from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser, New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. will, solely at its discretion, replace said product or component that New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. deems is not functioning properly during the stated warranty period.

The laws of the state of Texas, USA will govern any disputes regarding this warranty or claim made. This warranty, which is given expressly in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied, or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, constitutes the only warranty made by New Millennium Concepts, Ltd.

This warranty applies only to products manufactured or exclusively distributed by New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. and its Authorized Berkey® Dealers.

Berkey® Stainless Steel Chambers and Berkey Light® Chambers

The Berkey® Stainless Steel Chambers and Berkey Light® Chambers are covered under a one-year limited warranty. Warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser.

Black Berkey® Purification Elements and Berkey Earth® DE Filter Elements

The Black Berkey® Purification Elements and the Berkey Earth® DE Elements are covered under a limited two- year prorated warranty, calculated in six-month intervals. Warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser.

Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters and Berkey® Accessories

The Berkey PF-2™ and PF-4™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters and all Berkey® Accessories are covered under a six-month warranty. Warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser.

Super Sterasyl Ceramic Filters

The Super Sterasyl™ Ceramic Filters are covered under a six-month warranty. Warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser.

Warranty Exclusions

The following actions will void your warranty coverage:

  1.  Attempting to use the Berkey Earth® DE Filter Elements or the Ceramic Super Sterasyl™ Filtration Elements in a pressurized manner or “priming” these elements.
  2.  Allowing any of the Berkey® elements to freeze.
  3.  Using dehumidifier water with any of the Black Berkey® Purification Elements for daily use.
  4.  Breaking or damaging Berkey® Products due to dropping, carelessness, cleaning or general mishandling as determined by New Millennium Concepts, Ltd.   
  5.  Failure to remove the Black Berkey® Purification Elements from the system prior to transporting or moving the system, resulting in broken stems.
  6.  Performing a red food coloring test with the Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements attached. The Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements must be removed prior to performing a red food coloring test in order to stay in compliance with the six-month warranty.
  7.  Using the water from a water softening system. Note: this action may clog the Black Berkey® Purification Elements or cause the stainless steel to pit or rust.
  8.  If the product is not used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations or instructions.
  9. Storing Berkey® elements in a manner not approved by New Millennium Concepts, Ltd.
